Metric Casing Tubes
Technodrill metric casing tubes are manufactured from best quality cold drawn seamless steel tubes with high tensile strength to withstand heavy stresses. Straightness is more than 1:1800.
They conform to ISO 3552-1.1992.
They are flush jointed (without a coupling) internally and externally, with an integral pin and box thread.
Metric casing tubes are thin walled, providing light-economical drill string and offer a wider range of dimensions than the DCDMA-BS casing tubes. This means less reduction of the hole diameter when the hole is cased.
Available in sizes 146, 131, 116, 101, 86, 76, 66, 56 & 46mm.

The standard effective lengths are 3.0, 1.5, 1.0 & 0.5 meters. Other lengths may be manufactured upon request.
All casing tubes have right hand threads. Left hand threads can be manufactured if requested.

Casing sizes are designed to nest telescopically one inside the other as illustrated (fig.1)
The outer diameter of each casing size is small enough to fit in the hole drilled by the next larger core bit size.
The inner diameter is large enough to allow drilling with the same designated size of drilling equipment or for inserting the next smaller size of casing tubes and their relevant equipment (casing bits, shoes etc.)
e.g. 86 (84/77) casing tubes fit into the hole drilled by a T2 101 size core bit and allow drilling with T2 86 size drilling equipment and inserting 76 (74/67) casing.
